No kitchen has any business running unless it has an aloe plant happily growing and someone to make sure it continues growing happily. When people get treated for radioactive decontamination and associated burns, aloe is what gets used. That's in the official protocols for burn treatment. Fresh sliced ginger applied to burns also helps. Cayenne pepper applied to an open cut cleans it out; helps close the cut, and reminds the user to be more careful with cutting tools in the future all in about 10 seconds time.
