No kitchen has any business running unless it has an aloe plant happily 
growing and someone to make sure it continues growing happily.  When 
people get treated for radioactive decontamination and associated burns, 
aloe is what gets used.  That's in the official protocols for burn 
treatment.  Fresh sliced ginger applied to burns also helps.  Cayenne 
pepper applied to an open cut cleans it out; helps close the cut, and 
reminds the user to be more careful with cutting tools in the future all
