Dump Cake from Scratch From Alice Jackson

This is an old recipe that does not use a cake mix.  I haven't made it for a
very long time, but I think it is a good, simple recipe.

Dump Cake

1 cup flour
1/2 cup sugar
1 egg
1 can fruit cocktail (about 15 ounces) (drained)
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon baking soda

Mix all ingredients together in a large mixing bowl.  Pour into a greased 9
inch square pan.  Sprinkle top with 1/2 cup brown sugar (packed) and 1/2 cup
chopped nuts.
Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes. Serve with whipped cream or whipped
topping.
