A weekly recipe is usually read on the Older Blind Information Line. If there 
is enough interest, and if I can remember to record and post them, I'll send 
them to the list.

This recipe comes from the Tulsa World newspaper, the Scene section. Enjoy!

Snickerdoodle Muffins

Ingredients:
two cups flour
1/2 teaspoon salt
two teaspoons cream of tartar
one teaspoon baking soda

one stick softened butter, (one half cup)
3/4 cup sugar
two eggs
one cup milk
1/2 teaspoon vanilla

topping ingredients:
one tablespoon sugar and 
1 teaspoon cinnamon mixed together.

instructions:
Preheat oven to 400 dg. Line a 12-cup muffin tin with paper liners.

In a large bowl, stir together flour, salt, cream of tartar and baking soda.

In a separate bowl, cream the butter and sugar. Add eggs and mix. Add the milk 
and vanilla and mix until well combined. Stir the wet ingredients in to the dry 
ingredients just until moistened. Fill muffin cups 2/3 full of batter. Sprinkle 
with cinnamon/sugar topping.

Bake at 400 for fifteen to 20 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean
