I don't have trouble with peanut butter, but I do have trouble spreading jelly. Where you use a spoon for the peanut butter, I use a spoon for the jelly. It's hard to get jelly to stay on a butter knife! I use a spoon to scoop it out, then I use my knife or yes, even a fork, to spread it around.
