And here is a basic pancake recipe that is tried and true. I use self-rising
flour instead of the salt  and baking powder.



Basic pancakes

1 cup all purpose flour

2 tbsp sugar

2 tsp baking powder

½ tsp salt

1 cup milk

2 tbsp butter/margarine (cut out salt if use salted)

1 large egg

1 tbsp vegetable oil or butter/margarine

Mix together wet ingredients except oil. Add the dry and mix enough to
blend. Drop by a quarter cupful into oil or butter and brown on both sides a
few minutes. Top with your favorite toppings.
