I thought it was too much money too, but wanted to support the effort to make a toaster oven truly accessible. So, I bit the bullet and spent the money, dragging my feet all the way. Now that I have the talking toaster oven, I like it far more than I thought I would, and use it often. I love best that when you set it to cook for a given amount of time, that is what you get. It takes all the guesswork out of cooking and I don't have to stand over it watching every minute. I can do other things in the kitchen and know when the time is up the unit shuts off and announces that it is off. It is also a convection oven which is nice too. I was really surprised that as an experienced cook this unit truly decreases my anxiety in the kitchen and helps all the dishes in my meal to be ready at the same time.
