No. I am talking about the three buttons on the third row down on my microwave. 
The first gives you 30 seconds of cooking. The second and third buttons add or 
subtract 30 seconds from your cooking time while the microwave is running with 
cooking already in progress. Those two buttons come in handy when you want to 
stop something early because it smells finished, or you want to add another 30 
seconds to your time when it doesn't smell quite done.

are you talking about the right or left of the zero key?
the left or our zero is the "add 30 seconds button," which beeps if you hold 
it, once per thirty seconds if you're not running, the right I believe is 
suppose to take away 30 seconds from the current count down timer.
