I've always been curious. How do you know that you have reduced the liquid to half? Guessing? Tasting? Pouring it out repeatedly and measuring it? Sometimes it doesn't really matter whether it's exactly half or not. But in some recipes, it might have an effect on the success of the recipe. I don't think it does on this one though.
