I did see that post back when it was posted. I assumed the issue was
fixed because I saw an update to the 10.6-branch fink package past the
0.7 release and 10.6 Standalone coot packages, explicitly labeled for 10.6.
For those of us still using SL (which gets security updates from Apple,
so it is not yet reckless to use it), we should probably go back to the
latest stable release (0.7.0), which works well on SL. I am planning on
replacing my laptop within a year, and get back on Apple's OS update
cycle. That is the ultimate solution.
Also, we all appreciate Bill Scott's efforts maintaining fink packages
and the standalone versions of coot. He obviously cannot and should not
support old OS versions.
