Hello,
Hello Nicole Thomas,
I recently got the latest version of Coot running via command line on my Mac
and I'm encountering some issues. When I press space bar to advance to the next
residue, the program crashes.
Sorry. That is fixed in HEAD I think. But not in a release.
If you get your coot with homebrew, you can try --HEAD for the latest
(and greatest?) Coot.
I was also not able to mutate a nucleic acid to a cytosine--other bases
worked.
I wonder if that is an RNA vs DNA thing. If you use the DNA/RNA models,
can you make a model where this fails?
I also was unable to successfully renumber the residues in a chain.
Oh dear. I would have thought that Coot would have been able to do that
by now. I have not heard of that bug. Can you reproduce the failure
using the tutorial data?
I'm not sure if these issues are a result of me messing up the install.
Not at all.
If you *do* get Coot head, and you wish to continue discussing the
issues raised, then use the python interface to get the git commit using
import coot
print(coot.git_commit())
(It gets printed on the terminal) so that I know exactly what you have.
P.S. Loving the new Coot/Doom logo!
Heh. Cool. Some people didn't know what it was.
Paul.
