[AFAIK](https://stackoverflow.com/questions/28985704/parallel-stream-from-a-hashset-doesnt-run-in-parallel)
 streams taken from HashSet might have weak parallelism, so maybe it's worth 
wrapping `mrefs` into an ArrayList?
