Clarify that `CompactNumberFormat` formatting that routes through the "0" special pattern never produces output with fractional digits. This is accomplished by doing a rewrite of the formatting section which now mentions it and also shows an example. I don't find it necessary to add a warning to `setMinimumFractionDigits` itself since none of the CNF setters propagate to the underlying `DecimalFormat`, which is fully derived by the decimal pattern (minus the fractional digits).
A CSR is required, and will be updated once the wording is finalized. --------- - [x] I confirm that I make this contribution in accordance with the [OpenJDK Interim AI Policy](https://openjdk.org/legal/ai). ------------- Commit messages: - init Changes: https://git.openjdk.org/jdk/pull/33482/files Webrev: https://webrevs.openjdk.org/?repo=jdk&pr=33482&range=00 Issue: https://bugs.openjdk.org/browse/JDK-8394568 Stats: 12 lines in 1 file changed: 0 ins; 1 del; 11 mod Patch: https://git.openjdk.org/jdk/pull/33482.diff Fetch: git fetch https://git.openjdk.org/jdk.git pull/33482/head:pull/33482 PR: https://git.openjdk.org/jdk/pull/33482
