*Required Sklll:* Mainframe, VSAM, SAS Identify and document technical objects on mainframe SAS batch jobs that extract data from operational systems that manipulate extracted data sets COBOL reports VSAM data segments used for (a) and (b) Identify and document data movement from mainframe to UNIX or Windows environments What segments and fields are selected? How is that data cleaned, aggregated, or manipulated? Identify and document technical objects in UNIX environment SAS tools installed SAS data stores SAS queries and reports Other data stores used by SAS tools Identify and document SAS tools and data in Windows environments. Identify opportunities to improve current solution. Familiar with the following tools: SAS BASE SAS on IBM Z Series mainframe SAS Connect to mainframe / desktop SAS Access to DB2 and to Oracle SAS tools on UNIX and Windows Mainframe RUMBA FTP to desktop / server VSAM data sets (and tools to access them) TSO tool set Databases Oracle DB2 Experience Has used Base SAS to read data from VSAM data sets.
