 Consultant .Net Developer who has proven experience in migration Visual
Studio 2003 ASP.NET applications to Visual Studio 2012 on a Windows 2012
server. This effort will enable us to take advantage of the latest .NET
Framework innovations and to improve the extendibility and supportability
of the legacy applications.

*ENVIRONMENT*
Current application development environment:

   - Visual Studio 2003
   - Microsoft SQL Server 2008 R2

Target application development environment:

   - Visual Studio 2012
   - Windows Server 2012
   - Microsoft SQL Server 2014

*SCOPE OF WORK*
The role of the Consultant .Net Developer is to plan, execute, and finalize
the migration project of the legacy Visual Studio 2003 ASP.NET applications
according to strict deadlines and within budget. This includes:

   - Analyze the scope and effort of the migration project
   - Develop the migration plan and sprint schedule
   - Execute the migration plan


    - Run the Conversion Wizard
      - Set the target framework and startup pag
      - Compile and fix
      - Convert pages and user controls to partial classes
      - Compile and fix
      - Regression testing
      - Develop technical documentation
      - Knowledge transfer
      - Production deployment
      - Provide Post-Migration stabilization

*SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED*
Minimum (Required):
Years Skills/Experience

   - 8 - Experience with web application development using Microsoft Visual
   Studio
   - 5 - Experience with Microsoft SQL Server 2008 and newer version in
   develop databases, SSRS reports and SSIS packages.
   - 2 - Experience in migration Visual Studio 2003 ASP.NET applications to

*PERIOD OF PERFORMANCE*
The period of performance for the Migration Project is six to twelve months.

*WORK REQUIREMENTS*

   - Upgrade applications from older .NET framework version 1.1 to version
   4.5.
   - Develop project and technical documentation.
   - Follow Agile methodology to execute project.
   - Develop backlog items in VersionOne.
   - Update sprint information in VersionOne.
   - Participate in daily scrum, sprint planning and sprint review.
   - Practice best practice in software source control.

*ACCEPTANCE CRITERIA*

   - Successful upgrade the identified legacy applications from Visual
   Studio 2003 ASP.NET to Visual Studio 2012
   - Follow change management policy to upgrade the identified legacy
   applications in the test environment first
   - Develop comprehensive test plan and assist with User Acceptance
   Testing (UAT)
   - Deploy the upgraded applications to the target production environment
   - Provide onsite post-migration support for two weeks

         3+ Years exp as an Architect

·         Design and develop enterprise service shared components and
in-memory data grid components using the Agile/Scrum methodology and with
technologies including Java, Coherence, NoSQL, SQL, and JMS

·         Oracle functions using near real-time distributed in-memory Data
Grid using Java, Spring, Oracle, Weblogic, and NoSQL technologies

·         7+ years of experience in Software Development using Java and J2EE

·         2+ yrs. experience as a Lead is required





Job Summary

Architect, design, develop and maintain a high performance application or
service components required for Einstein Maestro Oracle functions using
near real-time distributed in-memory Data Grid using Java, Spring, Oracle,
Weblogic, and NoSQL technologies.

Create user stories and develop software components using test-driven
development, working closely with business stakeholders, QA engineers and
other development teams.  The candidate must demonstrate   progressive
leadership in the full life cycle software development environment.



Major Duties

?              Design and develop enterprise service shared components and
in-memory data grid components using the Agile/Scrum methodology and with
technologies including Java, Coherence, NoSQL, SQL, and JMS

?              Design and develop a JMS-based asynchronous messaging
application

?              Practice test-driven development in an Agile/Scrum
environment

?              Research and develop prototypes as assigned

?              Be responsible for end-to-end software development in a
DevOps model

?              Provide support and mentoring to both senior- and
junior-level developers distributed amongst the development teams

?              Perform other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications

?              Education

o             Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field

?

Skills and Experience

o             7+ years of experience in Software Development using Java and
Java EE, with 2+ yrs. experience as a Lead is required

o             2+ years of Maven experience is required

o             2+ years of Jenkins or similar experience is required

o             2+ years of Spring experience is required

o             2+ years of JPA or Hibernate experience is required

o             Full life-cycle development in an enterprise development
environment is required

o             In-memory computing/data grid experience with Coherence or
Gemfire or Hazelcast or Infinispan or similar is preferred

o             NoSQL development experience with Couchbase or CouchDB or
MongoDB or similar is preferred

o             Development against relational database preferably using
Oracle is preferred

o             Exposure to Agile/Scrum methodology a plus

o             Experience in a Cable, Telecom, or a Media company a plus

o             Experience with Voice, Data, Video, Wireless technology a plus

o             Should have excellent communication, negotiation, decision
making, and problem solving skills

o             Must be a team player

o             Must have “can do” /”will do” attitude
