Hi Thomas

Also look at Irish newspapers -- either on British Newspaper Archives or
Findmypast.co.uk (same collection) Subscription sites although searching
is free ....

See
https://search.findmypast.co.uk/search/irish-newspapers?keywords=james%20coo
ke%20strabane

Several snippets pop up regarding marriages, etc for children of this
couple. (It is possible to "tease" the search parameters to get more
wording for the OCR snippet, if you don't have a subscription or you're out
of credits!)

Other search terms and combinations may be worth trying. Good luck!

Hi Tom

I found this graveyard inscription on RootsIreland for Martha Cooke. As
you can see the graveyard is on Patrick Street, Strabane. Plot No. D30.
I've looked on google maps and there is an old graveyard on the corner of
Patrick Street and Church Street. I've attached an image from Google Earth
taken from the Church Street side.

No doubt locals on this list might be able to provide more information. I
do hope this is helpful.

Good luck
Cora-Ann

Hello

I appreciate the information that is listed on this site. My ancestors are
James Cooke and Martha Cooke (and their daughter Anne). According to your
records they lived in Strabane and died in 1844 and 1848 respectively. I was
wondering of anyone knows of their final resting places or any other
information about them.

Thanks very much

Tom Thrailkill
