Jim, Thanks for sharing this. A poignant reminder of what life could be like barely 150 years ago. I haven't found if any of my Dungannon ancestors were in workhouses but I do have an ancestor who was matron of a fever hospital in Londonderry. She died after only 2 years in the job. Life was tough then. Gordon
