They were at Reno again last year (as were the Thunderbirds, who did a
courtesy fly-by on their way to another air show) but they didn't do the
JATO
act this time. If you really want to see something impressive, you should
see a C-123 with JATO, it's a lighter plane and shows much more effect
with the JATO.  That 'ficticious' unit commonly referred to as 'Air
America' used them in SEA to get out of short 'Jungle Strips'. For a
newcomer
seeing it for the first time, you might think it's a 'noisy helicopter
with wings' coming up out of the trees!  But (Other than the coupe) I'll
still vote for the Gooney Bird as the most 'unlikely' sight with JATO.
