There is an STC’ed unit out there. Think it was about  $650./ $750. price tag on it Could have been more. Basicly a C150”s charging system. Salvage yards about half  that.

Subject: [COUPERS] How about alternator mods?

----[Please read http://ercoupers.com/disclaimer.htm before following any advice in this forum.]----

Dear Folks:

I was wondering.... Abigail needs more power. I'd like to put some electric
instruments (What can I say except I am sick and tired of messing with that
[EMAIL PROTECTED] venturi and worrying about the inches of vaccuum it's not
producing) in her (she has a 12 amp generator now on a C-85-12) and have read
how some 'coupes have a 50 or even 65 amp alternator in them. Does anyone
know what model of alternator these are , and if they are STC'd or would I
have to get a 337?
As always, thanks in advance for the info!
