Baby Continentals, from the A65 to the O200, are known for making ice.
As attested to by the many C150 pilot who has come to grief as a result.

I've only developed ice twice. Both times in cruise, and both times when
the air seemed relatively clear. How do I know it was ice, then? Well, you
lose RPMs, you turn on the heat, things get worse, then they get better,
then you turn the heat off and things pretty much stay better for at least
a
while.

There's a lot more humidity available here on the East Coast, even on
clear
days. So perhaps we get it more often. Also, there is that 60-78 degree
temp
band where the drop in the venturi is about right to create ice (it's a
question
of it being warm enough to retain moisture, cold enough to freeze). We get
a lot of that temperature at our cruise atltitudes back here.

Since the carb is down there in the free air, engine temp really has
nothing
to
do with whether it ices or not, alas.
