mechanic has recommended I have replaced, and I plan to. The mechanic said
that the muffler was in bad shape and that one of the ends could not be
tightened down onto to the exhaust pipe. He advised me that this could lead
to an inflight fire. The area in which the carb heat attaches to the muffler
is loose as well. Both Wag and Univair have a two to three week ( meaning 4
to 5 week? ) backlog on mufflers and I sure would like to fly the 15 minute
hop over to Terrel from Mesquite for the big convention here in a couple of
weeks. Any opinions? Thanks ED
