I left my oil cap off once also, and after an hour of flight from
Wausau, WI to Marinette, MI I
landed and found a very oily airplane. I had lost one quart, and spent
the next two months wiping and
cleaning the plane The memory of that cleanup keeps me from repeating
that mistake.
