Subject: Jack McCall

Ed, I got your email address from my Aunt, Ruth McCall. My uncle attended

the recent EOC convention. Or at least I think he did. My uncle's name
was
Jack McCall. He was recently killed when his plane crashed in McAlester.
I
was wondering if there were any pictures taken at the convention and if
Jack
and his Ercoupe 415 CD were in any of the photos. Thank you for your
assistance.

Sandy McCall

Sandy,

We've been greatly distressed about Jack's accident. You have all our
sympathy.

We do know Jack was at the convention. From the records, it appears he
ate breakfast at the convention and filled his fuel tanks before flying
out. All the information I have at this point is on our club's website.
I'm afraid it is only links to published NTSB, Oklahoma newspaper and TV
websites. You can check it out at http://www.ercoupe.org/news.htm

I might have even talked with Jack myself but I just can't remember. I've
always had a name dysfunction and I also talked with some people whose
name-tags I didn't read.

I'll put out the message to our club members to ask about any pictures
that might have included Jack. Since this was the only time we had met
Jack, many people who might have a picture taken there may not recognize
him in the shots. They may also have talked with Jack but not made the
connection between the person and the accident. If you have a good
picture or two you could send, that'll help us considerably in finding
convention pictures for you.

I can put out a request to the people on the e-mail list immediately. We
also have a national, monthly, club newsletter. We can request that
anyone contact you who has pictures or remembers talking with Jack. The
July edition has already gone to press. We can put a request in the
August issue, though, along with a picture to help people make the
connection.

Again, we really feel sorry for your loss. To a lesser extent, I feel like
we've lost a member of our family whom we had just met. Feel free to ask
for anything - we'll do what we can to help.
