Wow, what an evening. Got N99387's new battery squared away and buttoned up and went flying at 5:30 PM. Took a break for 90 minutes or so as clouds marched over the field and threatened to dampen us, but didn't. But those same clouds made a sunset that looked like something from the religious section of the Hallmark shop. Red and purple and rays over green fields and the Delaware river. On top of that, everywhere you turned, hot-air balloons filled the air. I flew until it got dark. Went out and explored the countryside and chased the balloons around. Then did a few dead-stick landing circuits in the pattern, mostly as an excuse to keep altering the angle of view of the sunset. Now the tell us that tomorrow will be beautiful weather, and Saturday will be beautiful weather, and Sunday will be beautiful weather...
