According to the Aircraft Flight Manual for my 415-E,
the C-85 engine with a McCauley 1A90 series metal
propeller is not to be operated continuously between
1950-2170 RPM. Your tach should have a yellow arc
highlighting that range.

Also, you might want to check the last digit of the
prop number. I don't believe there were any McCauley
1A90's pitched flatter than 7146. Most 'coupes with
metal props have the 7148 (climb), 7150 (standard),
and 7152 (cruise). The 1950-2170 RPM caution applies
to them all.
