Believe me, Dick, I am about the last person in the world to defend the Kennedys. I'm an old time New Englander, and as far as I'm concerned, Joe Kennedy was a no-good bootlegger who bought his heirs a political empire. That said, the day Kennedy went down was a lot like today, and plenty of people went up. It was VRF legal. It's just that the folks who've been around here for a while know that days like today (hot, hazy, humid) rapidly degrade into fog, or something mighty close to it after dark -- especially over water. I'll fly at night, but not over water. True, he made a whole bunch of rotten decisions. And one of them was that he was late going, and it sounds to me like he was getting some pressure from his passengers that he didn't handle well. So...while I'm willing to assume arrogance since I pretty much think all the Kennedys are arrogant, nobody forced anybody to do anything. As a matter of fact, nobody forced her to marry a rich, arrogant, jerk in the first place. He didn't do anything illegal, so it's hard for me to understand how they can sue. If we start suing for every case of bad judgement, the court system will buckle under the weight.
