Just kidding Spook.

Actually I'm partial to the old birds as well. I always say the only thing
jets do well is turn kerosene into noise. 'course they do a pretty good
job of turning money into smoke also.

Plus there nothin' quite like the sound of a round motor. (Now whatcha
bet somebody comes on board and says something like..."But jets ARE
round.") I remember a few years ago, I was out bow hunting when my nap
was disturbed by the sound of two T-6's, in formation, screaming by over
head, just above tree top level. Nearly fell outta the tree. But it was so
cool.

Does that CHP Cessna have a round motor? Could be a 195.

Mike,

I know what year it is. I just like those planes and apparently so do
others. I saw a wonderful T-6 routine at the Santa Rosa air show this
past weekend. And Reno has a racing class just for them. Don't be telling
me
that's because they're too 'slow' to be in the same class as the
Mustangs and Sea Furies. I know that. Spook "not as dumb as I look and
we don't need no stinking turbines" Trehey.

PS Besides, I live in Humboldt County. California Highway Patrol has a
large, well equipped, taildragger Cessna that often lands at our local
airport. Don't know the model number. Guess I should.
