This weekend I went to Lewiston Idaho to fly my annual Wings
program. I do this every year with a good friend who is a CFI.

I called Lewiston tower and the conversation went something
like this. "Lewiston tower this is Ercoupe 2273H 10 miles north
west for landing" "Eh-- Ah-- November 73H say again aircraft
type" "This is Ercoupe 73H-- E-R-C-O-U-P-E over" tower "Eh eh ah"
me "Lewiston tower 73H, Aircoupe will do" "Eh Ah--November 73H
call a 2 mile right base to runway 11"

This is how it went all weekend long. Only one controller could get
Ercoupe down pat. <G> At Lewiston I was flying a "November"

The temp was in the 90s very bumpy which made the required hour
of hood work less than fun. The rest of the session was lots of fun
purging
a year of bad habits and sloppy flying.

Cheers:
