The c90 on my Forney F1 is causing me a bit of concern. The engine runs beautifully, and uses little oil. But on the last compression check I have two cylinders that are on the low side (61 and 64). The other two are 69 and 71. All are leaking through the exhaust valves, and I suspect they are getting hung up on lead deposits. I am looking for some advice on what to do. It would be nice if I can hold off on some kind of major teardown until next year, since I just got it going this spring. Is there some way to loosen the deposits without pulling the cylinders. Should I be pulling the cylinders? (I have never done this before and am not sure how much work is involved but is seems a little daunting.) Any advice would be helpful.
