AOPA is really Avemco I think. At least they act like Avemco.

Avemco is to insurance as McDonalds is to hamburgers... sloppy
and not all that good. In the end, they don't care if you're satisfied
so long as you pay. And pay.

They seem to court organizations like AOPA and EAA. Rather than
better rates for the members, it seems to be kick-backs for the
organizations.

Add to it that they'd really rather cover new 182s, Bonanzas, and
Barons, and we 'small potatoes' are out in the cold, again.

Find yourself a broker that writes for AIG or Phoenix. Particularly the
former company has a really good rating, provides excellent terms and
a very good value. I find I'm getting a lot of insurance for the dollar
with them.
