Airspace Update, 8:30 AM EDT
NBAA relays the following ATCSCC Advisory from the FAA's ATC Command
Center
in Virginia:

At 15Z, the NAS will be open to all aircraft including VFR/IFR, GA and
commercial operations, regardless of flight purpose.

HOWEVER, THE NAS REOPENING DOES NOT INDICATE THAT ANY PARTICULAR AIRPORT
WILL BE OPEN OR IF OPEN WHAT RESTRICTIONS MAY BE IN PLACE AT THAT AIRPORT.

*** THIS IS UP TO THE DISCRETION OF EACH INDIVIDUAL AIRPORT AUTHORITY AND
IS
NOT UP THE DISCRETION OF NAS CONTROLLERS.***

NBAA had intended to maintain a list on the web site of these airports but
we have concluded that it is logistically impossible to do this. The FAA
has
turned on its web site again at http://www.faa.gov, and airport
information
is being posted there, however, they will only be targeting "pacer"
airports
at the site.

NBAA Members are strongly encouraged to call each of their destination
airports to confirm the status of the airport before initiating flight
activities.

Also, NBAA still strongly recommends the use of satellite airports instead
of major air-carrier airports as capacity and acceptance rate may be
restricted based on demand. To avoid these types of delays, utilization of
a
non air carrier airport is the wisest decision.

All users should now be able to file flight plans in anticipation of "NAS
Normal" at 1500Z.
