Basically its an automatic, flight activated and ground controlled system that will, when activated, put the aircraft in a preprogrammed holding pattern via autopilot. Its sort of a telemetry system. It is of course, not approved here but it is in final JAR approval. On an advanced aircraft such as 777 or newer airbus it is not very hard and requires no modifications. A GPS and a laptop computer could easily provide the brains.
