Hi Gang:-
Well....despite all the whinning and wailing (not to
mention the sowing of seeds of dissatisfaction with
the AOPA) it seems we're sort of back in the VFR air!
One of the primary critics sent out a list of "Can'ts"
but (not deliberately, I hope) failed to mention the
most significant "can't"....we must not fly VFR into a
class B airspace ( and the shape of these Class B
air-spaces is apparently being broadened). Now I can
just imagine the howling and breast beating that one
will occasion....we have to avoid Atlanta, New York,
Chicago, St Louis, San Franscisco, etc.etc.etc. the
type of places most succeptible to possible terror
at-tacks. The "they're taking away my rights gang"
should have a field day.....never mind the fact that
there's a whole USA left for us to fly over. HERB SLOANE
