Remember the sloping bank below the lawn at my house? I was down
there just before I went to Reno
clearing out all the grass, weeds and blackberry bushes and while I was
working in one particular spot I stood
on top of the hole where those nasty guys had a nest and they didn't
appriciate it at all. I got stung 22
times by the time I could get away from the nest. I lost that particular
battle with them, but I came back
that night and won the war with them. I did away with the entire colony
and they haven't been back at all.
HA-HA, I WIN!!!
Those underground nests and the ones made in the shape of a cone from
a sort of papet looking material in
the trees and under the eves of buildings are the worst stingers, but also
the easiest to get rid of. The
yellowjackets that fly around all the time and go to my traps also are bad
stingers but the traps work quit
well, just slower as it's a one at a time capture.
Gotta go, I've spent all morning at this computer and I need to get
outside in this beautiful sunshine and
get some work done.
