Ed,

sounds like you have a valve guide getting ready to go- and the temp is
just magnifying the symptoms. I've had a stuck valve and the sudden loss
of power is frightening- you should have it looked at. Fortunately I was
on a long final into Fresno and the loss in power was managable.....
