Hello to all, If you want to compare the ownership
previlege or shall we call it the money pit here's
mine: A Major overhaul -a bunch of thousands ,a
replacement of my right main fuel tank- a bunch of
hundreds-Recover and repaint my wings-several
thousands.
ETC ETC ETC .I'm like the rest of you I consider it
part of the restoration and keeping the coupes
alive.corrosion free and safe.Everytime I work on the
coupe and check it over and over and over again to
really make sure  the problems are solved and fixed I
feel better but still cautious about getting
everything right.It's our Butt in there!!I don't
scrimp
on anything that needs to be done.When you own a 50
year old aircraft hey that's an old piece of
machinery.
Keep an eye on it keep a sqwauk sheet  try not to put
off any thing that could bite you hard.That truth
teller has a point.The corrosion is a big factor with
a lot of planes not just the coupe.My Cessna 140 had
it's share of problems too.Fixed them right away.I'm
