Might make more sense to trade in the wife. I guess I'm lucky to have a practical wife who understands that I'm a lot easier to be around when I'm flying regularly, and that you can't take it with you. I'm always amazed at how many people end up buying a plane for X amount of dollars, putting X * .5 dollars into it, and then selling it for 1.1 * X dollars before they ever enjoy it properly. To say nothing of the incredible amount of time and hassle. We've got a coupe like that on our field. With an interior kit, it would be a show winner. The fellow's plans changed, he has more than $25K into it, and hopes to sell it for $25K. Problem is... ...it's still a 1946 415 converted to a D and a split tail. My suggestion... ...fly your plane this season and enjoy it. You've spent the money.
