Rob, I'm totally with Greg on this (except maybe for the part about
trading
in the wife).

The great flying season has just begun, and I can't imagine what financial
advantage there would be to selling before you have a chance to enjoy your
investment.

If fuel prices continue to rise, the Coupe will just be more desirable,
and
if they fall, the economy will probably go up. You can fly your plane for
at
least 2 years and still sell it for the same price you can today. What
you'll lose if you sell may not be money, but something harder to come by.
It's true that an airplane is just a material thing, but they provide
enormous pleasure to those of us who love them, and provide unique
experiences. If you can at all afford it, renting is just not the same.

Can you just pretend to try to sell it? What about partners?
