Yes, but do your eally want to put it in the gas?  How can you be sure 
it won't settle out in the bottom of the tank while the plane is sitting 
like Ercoupes tend to do.  The whole point of putting it in the oil is 
to act as a solvent.  It is clearly written out on the old can about 
where you can put it (in cars.)   The only airplane engine that should 
ever need it is one with something wrong with it.  If you change your 
oil often and keep your engine in proper shape, it should not be 
neccessary.  I am amazed that this "rope trick" ever got to be so well 
known.  It is about the most stupid thing I ever heard.  What if you 
pack too much in or there is something truly stuck?  It is amazing the 
force on the con rods and pistons when it is locked up and somebody 
turns on it. I would not fly one that had that kind of monkey business 
being done on it.  Glen Ward
