Well, woke up this morning with hope that the weather would change and we could head out for Jean. As I looked out the window, all I could see was dark clouds and falling rain. The ceiling was about 1,000 ft. up the sides of the mountains, with dark tendrils of cloud dropping down to the valley floor. The skies offered no hope that it would change soon enough to head out for Nevada. Now, as it approaches 11:00 a.m., I've finally given up. To the south I can see partial clearing, but as this storm was to be primarily to the south, I know it's foolish to even try, as there are two passes I'd have to go over to get out of here. Oh well. Next year I won't plan on any fly-ins. The two I planned this year were first snowed, and now rained out. I apologize to each and every one of you, as it's obviously my fault the weather hasn't cooperated, due to my plans to attend.
