Well, its saturday afternoon in california, there's a nice cool breeze blowing and I'm in my garage stripping paint off the fuselage. It's almost done....thankfully! I've had all sorts of double-takes from people passing by walking their dogs or just driving by. They cant figure out what it is. A few know it's a plane and stop to ask what kind... I have some old magazine brochures tacked up to my garage cabinets as well as a picture of my old coupe; that satisfies their curiosity, and lets me see that there's light at the end of the tunnel. Out in the garage I have my favorite music playing, a chocolate porter beer- the darkest you can get! and the neighborhood kids stop by on their scooters. Most of all I have a supporting wife- a necessary element in any restoration project! It's not quite as good as flying the coupe, but it's almost as good!
