it's getting cold in the garage but I'm still plugging away at the wing recovering. have both wings checked out, replaced a few rivets, installed rivnuts for wing fairing strip attachment, rewired for wing tip lights, made brackets and reattached pitot and vacuum lines. wing is free of corrosion. have the first one in the garage where I spray primed with 2 part epoxy, using the Poly fabric process, Have to turn off the elect space heaters when spraying. have the sleeve attached and shrunk, I elected to also cover the lighting holes behind the rear spar as a detriment to small critters. I've got the entire bottom fabric screw fastened over reinforced tapes, have all the inspection holes on with doilies. I added an extra inspection hole near the wing tip to facilitate mounting the lights and am now starting to lace the rear spar..... Here is where I need some help, I can see 3 different ways to do the lacing. first a single row of laces with the lace showing at every other hole. second a double row with the second row going in the opposite direction with no gaps showing, and third thru the top around the edge and thru the top of next hole. (I first burned all the holes open with a pencil soldering iron). How about it guys, which way is best/proper ??? have to get the bottom ready for the finishing tapes. regards JoeC Zion, IL N99621 __________________________________________________ To unsubscribe from this list please send mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] ___________________________________________________________ T O P I C A http://www.topica.com/t/17 Newsletters, Tips and Discussions on Your Favorite Topics
