Good ones tend to sell locally with no need for a TAP ad. I think that machine is worth $17,000-20,000 or so, but perhaps could be dealed for less. You have to work quick and have cash ready. I once looked to sell mine, to immense response. Lots of market. Ercoupes are a bargain compared to a Cub. People want coupes. I definitely would not consider buying one again for less than $16,000. Most of them I looked into last year in my relatively low budget were very disappointing in some respect. Usually, old overhauls but other problems too. They look good in pictures but in person, they are getting worn. Maybe I just saw the bad ones. You are right to look into a nice one. A $16,000 coupe often means somebody is losing $10,000 considering what they have in it.
