Hey Ed,
I'm curious about the performance with the 7146 prop. What's your
rate of climb?
Top indicated airspeed? What about level flight? How fast cruise, at
what RPM? What
about your top RPM? Does it over rev with the 46" prop? As you know, the
only
significance between the 75 and the 85 is the RPM. The prop is what gives
you the
extra revs. I would think that going down to a 46 would mean you really
have to watch
the tach. I've never seen a reference to a 7146 before. Is it approved?
What prop
did you have on before the 46? And the last biggie, can you tell a big
difference
when climbing out with gross wt.? Sorry for all the questions, but I fly
out of 4500
ft. MSL airport, and occasionally fly to 5500 ft. MSL strip. I've not
been down there
in the Coupe in the summer, and I'm a bit concerned about whether I fly
home, or just
taxi real fast down the hiway. By the way, what altitude do you fly out
of?Larry Ed Burkhead wrote: > I'd suggest you get a copy of the owners manual for the 415-E and > (privately) use those numbers for performance calculations.
