Yes, Warren, my understanding is changing to Ercoupe wings in order to put fabric wings on a Forney would be easier to get past the Feds than putting fabric on Forney wings. The Ercoupe ribs, as you said, are channel - flanged to U shape instead of just a right angle flange as is found on Forney, Alon and Mooney ribs.
