I'd guess staggerwing? guess that depends on what was consumed in the
process. 100LL always gets em in the mood.
seriously... I'm very happy no one was hurt in the accident. Something

very similliar happened at Arlington, WA (AWO uncontrolled) a few years
back.
A young student pilot on his 2nd solo in a 152, and a Pitts collided on
the
runway. The 152 looked at the pattern before taking the active but didn't
see
the Pitts on the wrong side of the airport base leg about to turn final.
The
speed of the pitts had him base-final-touchdown by the time the 152 was
taking the active. The propeller of the Pitts carved through the tail of
the
152 and stopped about 5" shy of the pilot. No one was hurt and the then
student pilot is now 18 w/ PPL and working on his IFR. I guess both were
to
blame, not seeing each other, low time student, and high time acro pitts

pilot. Student pilot didn't do the "visual 360" on runup, and the pitts
was
on the incorrect right hand pattern.
