Skyport has the new two 15 gallon tank 30 gallon fuel system STC'd and available for our use for conversion. I wonder if they could make similar, but shorter, new wing tanks available in 8 or 9 gallon sizes that would be a direct replacement for the stock wing tanks (we would retain our original 3 tank fuel system). Skyport's 15 gallon wing tanks are longer and extend further out the wing. The very same tank could be made in a shorter version holding less fuel and not extending any further out the wing than the original tanks. They are already making new certified tanks for the Ercoupe, why not them make a standard size wing tank too? Perhaps they wouldn't have to get a new stc for the same tank in a shorter version or if they do, most of the work is already done for the 30 gallon system they developed. Perhaps they could make new standard size tanks we could afford to buy if we don't want to convert to the two tank 30 gallon system. Can we ask them about it? Comments? Pass this on to Skyport?
