Hello,
I have a question about these gascolators.
I got one of these ACS units and it says you have to get a 337 to have it put on
there. When I take it to the shop, will this be some big problem?
Basically I am wondering if they can just bolt it on and write the paper up with
the plane remaining airworthy, or do you have to wait for some FAA person to
approve it or just an IA? Have most of you folks switched to the all-metal
one? The one on there now is a glass tube squeezed between two pieces of
metal, and it is okay but it seemed like it took a lot of tightening to get it
to seal, the gaskets I got from Skyport were a real joke, basically, since they
were about half as thick as the worn out ones I took off of there. Is the
ACS the best replacement? Looks kind of light to me. Thanks!
