David Thanks for the input. No I have not mounted the shoulder harness's yet but it is scheduled next annual with the 337 that Syd sent me No Halon fire extinguisher. What model? Where do I get it? and where do you mount it. No Tie downs in the baggage area. Again what type did you use and where did you make the attachments. As far as the rivets I have 2 rows of 6 on the bottom side of my tank and this is the same on my M10. Two of the rivets are directly over the back 3" of the radio tray right where the electrical connections are. They are not leaking now but am concerned since they are in a hard to get
to area and by the time you smelled the gas it could be well on the way towards a big fire. Is there something a person could coat them with as an added precaution? I am not as concerned with the container of the 6 gals of gas that sits in our laps as I am with the connections to the tank. If I land hard enough to burst the container probably will be mentioned in the Ercoupe Capers folded wing section. Actually carrying 30 gallons of fuel will reduce your payload by approximately 36 pounds. I haven't had any problems installing radios and other instruments in my panel due to the tank's location. There seems to be plenty of room. > I was crawling around under the instrument panel doing some TLC > and noticed that there is 2 rivets directly above my radios I don't recall any visible rivets in my Alon's tank.
