The Micro Mesh stuff that Sporty's (and others) sells works good, but
takes 
quite a while to use if the scratches are very deep.  Basically what you
do 
with MicroMesh is that you wet-sand the scratches out.  They supply
varying 
grits of VERY fine cloth-backed sandpaper in the kit that you use 
sequentially to polish out the scratches.  I've used it.  It works, but it

takes quite a while to do it.

If the scratches are not too deep, there are a couple of grades of
Meguiar's 
Miro-Glaze (sp?) that do a pretty good job of filling in fine scratches
and 
surface imperfections.
